La Costeña’s planes depart from Managua  airport 12:00 pm daily, arriving at San Carlos 45 minutes after departure from Managua. And depart San Carlos to Managua 10 minutes after arrival time at 12:55 pm and arriving at Managua at 1:35 pm.

BY SHIP CROSSING  LAKE NICARAGUA

the ship used to be run by the goverment.. since the good condition of the road between Managua and San carlos. there is not enough passanger

so this operation has stop..

 

 

BY LAND, 300 km FROM MANAGUA

By private vehicle or a Rental.

A 4 hour drive.

Minivan rental for up to 15 people Managua San Carlos-Managua $200.00 +fuel.

 

FROM COSTA RICA

From Los Chiles, buss terminal Costa Rica,  departing by taxi to Custom/Immigration at tablillas,(the border) is open from  8;00am  to 3;00 pm..  it only take a few minutes going trough custom.. and a short 15 minutes ride to the santa fe bridge..or you can ither take a 30 minutes ride 

to San Carlos where you can take a boat to El castillo..
